Hi Folks
I am going totally nutts with this lockdown stupidity. I am keen to get back to exercise, in my case gym (fitness first), martial arts (muaythai) and swimming (Hampton pool) which are going to open July 25th if we are lucky, with some seriously ridiculous restrictions.
Can we please start a campaign to open things up 'AT YOUR OWN RISK'. Of course, there is no real risk, but can we not have establishments (pubs, gyms, theatres etc) that choose to open 'at your own risk'. We can start a petition, a bit like those 'woke' ones, except it is asking for us to get our liberty back? (Who would have ever thought in the UK I would be petitioning for my liberty back?).
Kind regards

Good idea Greg. I have been wondering whatever happened to 'at your own risk' which seems to work fine in various other contexts. I suppose it will be opposed on the grounds that it is our 'civic duty' to protect the population by not risking getting infected ourselves blah blah blah. But worth a try
Have you seen this? Peter Hitchens has the same idea:

Think it's a great idea. We could all get on with enjoying our lives again.
This might be more popular than we'd expect.
